Have you ever regretted purchasing a foundation that didn’t match or cover your skin? Or mascara that might as well have been water? Confession…I dread buying makeup and beauty products. You will rarely find me at Sephora or Ulta. Perusing the aisles full of makeup, hair care, face creams and accessories can be overwhelming and paralyzing! If this sounds like you, I want to share the 13 makeup products for a simple, daily look.
I am still trying to find the products that work best for me, and have a lot of room to grow in the knowledge of sustainable and cruelty-free products. However, I have found several products that I love for a simple, daily look. I find that makeup is typically the cheapest at Wal-Mart, and that is where I buy all of the products listed below. Even better for you online shoppers, (or if you are terrified of your local Wal-Mart), they are all available on Amazon.
Here are 13 makeup products that I’m loving:
1. Maybelline New York Facestudio Master Prime Primer Makeup, Blur+ Defend
I usually apply this primer first. It moisturizes, contains SPF, and helps my foundation go on more evenly. I use this as a lotion substitute in the morning, and although it looks small, it has lasted quite a while.
2. Maybelline New York Dream Brightening Creamy Concealer
I LOVE this concealer. I use it daily under my eyes and to cover any blemishes. It doubles as a highlighter, and I personally love that it is solid and not liquid.
3. Maybelline Fit Me Matte + Poreless Liquid Foundation Makeup
This liquid foundation provides great coverage, and doesn’t feel too heavy. I don’t wear this every single day (because my face would hate me), but it works well in the daytime or evening. I love the matte look, and it comes in many different shades.
4. e.l.f. Shadow Lock Eyelid Primer
I can’t help but include this eye-lid concealer, even though eye-shadow isn’t a part of my daily look. It keeps eye-shadow from creasing and smearing, but also covers the veins and fine lines on my eye-lids. Truly a game-changer!
5. Milani Strobe Light Liquid Highlighter – Summer Glow
This highlighter gives my skin a light, glowing look, and I love to apply it above my cheekbones and around my nose. A little bit goes a long way, and best of all, it is cruelty-free.
6. Milani Baked Blush – Rose D’Oro
I adore this blush by Milani. The color is beautiful and not overpowering, yet it adds just enough color to make my cheeks stand out. I use this every single day!
7. Milani Powder/Bronzer Brush
I use this brush to apply loose powder to my face, and it does a great job of holding the powder and applying evenly. It is incredibly soft, and also cruelty free.
8. Maybelline TattooStudio Waterproof Eyebrow Gel Makeup
9. e.l.f. Angled Blush Brush
I started using this eye brow gel not too long ago, and it is wonderful. Especially if you have light brows like me! There are several different shades, and it comes with a brush to blend. It is waterproof, but very simple to mold and shape with a Q-Tip or tissue when you first apply.
I use this brush to apply bronzer and blush. The shape is perfect for cheeks, and is soft but stiff enough to blend everything in well.
10. Rimmel Lasting Finish Lip by Kate Nude Collection
I don’t wear lipstick every day, or even most days, but I am including this because it is certainly an everyday lipstick. I always keep it with me, just in case. It is a pretty nude/pink color, and I actually wore this on my wedding day. It is perfect for a natural look!
11. L’Oréal Paris Makeup True Match Loose Powder Mineral Foundation
This is by far, my favorite loose powder. I usually don’t use the brushes that come with products, but this one works incredibly. It covers my face very well for the days that I don’t want to use a liquid foundation.
12. Maybelline New York Makeup Volum’ Express The Falsies Washable Mascara, Black Drama
I have tried many different mascaras, and I always come back to this one. It makes my lashes thick, but not clumpy. I specifically love the black drama color. I can always count on this product for long, full lashes.
13. e.l.f. Studio Makeup Mist & Set
I didn’t know what a setting spray was until recently, but it has been a life-saver during this hot summer! This light misting spray has held my makeup in place through the some of the hottest days. I highly recommend this to finish off your makeup routine.
