Books are such a wonderful way to go on an adventure and stimulate the mind. My dream is to have a library in our home one day, a place to enjoy quiet time and rest. I’m thankful that my husband loves reading even more, and is on the same page about a library. Our wedding was even book themed! Although e-readers can be convenient for traveling, there is nothing quite like holding a physical book. For those of you who are book lovers yourself, or have a book lover in your life, this post is for you. I have created a list of gift ideas (that aren’t books), that may excite a reader you know. I’m excited to share with you a gift guide for book lovers!
F. Scott Fitzgerald – For What It’s Worth – 11×14 Unframed Typography Book Page Print
We have this quote hanging in our living room, although I think this version looks more vintage, and I love it! It doesn’t have to be this quote- there are so many amazing book quotes out there. A print that can be framed and hung up makes a great gift.
Literary candles
There is nothing like lighting a candle, snuggling up in a blanket, and picking up a book. These candles are scented for different aspects of classic books. There are so many different choices, and I’m sure a lover of classic books (or just candles) would appreciate this.
Clip-on book light
A more practical & useful gift! I can’t tell you how many times one of us wants to read, when the other is ready to shut off the lights. This is also a great gift for kids who don’t have a lamp, but don’t want to keep the lights on at bedtime.
One-handed reading page holder and bookmark
A sleek and practical gift in one. Anyone who likes to hold a physical book knows the struggle of holding the crease and keeping your place. This would make a great stocking-stuffer!
Personal embosser with stand
This is one of my favorite gifts on the list. Personalizing things is so fun, and is great if you loan out books a lot. We like to write our name and the date in new books for future generations. This embosser leaves an even more special legacy.
Book-of-the-month club membership
The gift that keeps giving! There are many different types of subscriptions depending on the type of books you enjoy. Book-of-the-month is a subscription for the latest page-turner.
Mr. Coffee mug warmer
When you’re caught up in a good book, the time flies. It can be easy to let the coffee get cold, so I love this gift. No more microwaving stale coffee!
Ceramic storage bookends
There are so many types of bookends out there, but unless you have a theme in your home, some of them are just cheesy. I love these because they serve a purpose other than holding books up. They make a great plant-holder, but could be used to store other things as well.
Tequila Mockingbird
The tagline explains it all…”cocktails with a literary twist”. So fun!
Bamboo book stand
This is really useful for the kitchen (cookbooks), bath, or for standing and reading. Sometimes it’s convenient to not have to hold a book, so I love what this gift offers.
